| Despite
popular belief, most divorces are dealt with by the courts
on a ‘stand alone’ basis.
All matters relating to children, finances and property
are handled separately and are not part of the qualifying
criteria for the granting of a divorce. Courts can
only ratify any financial agreement reached by the parties
once Decree Nisi has been pronounced.
In the vast majority of cases, divorces proceed on an uncontested
basis with petitioner and respondent agreeing to divorce.
This means that most people can take advantage of our guaranteed
fixed cost service which offers a divorce for £160 including
VAT plus Court fees. There are no hidden ‘extras’.
Please remember that wherever possible, by far the best
way to deal with matrimonial finances, property and children
is to come to an amicable agreement with your spouse. This
will save you time and money.
